Cyberspace and environmental degradation are the two greatest sources of new conflict in the world today. Of course, to take this measure, one must understand past conflict and for that reason a look at the history of war becomes of paramount importance. This comparison naturally leads to projections about the future and what conflict may look like decades even generations from now. Going forward, New Conflict predicts a stable world addressing global problems because humanity has pushed war into a cognitive domain where violence surfaces as at best a secondary or even tertiary reality. This end fulfills an evolutionary progression that reflects positively on the human condition, an insight gained from apt study of a heretofore neglected military philosophy and its relation to cyberspace.
